In short, I can confidently say the 200hr vinyasa training changed my life.
As a chronic perfectionist, I'd always had a love/hate relationship with yoga. On one hand, it was my saviour at times when my anxiety was at its worst, but on the other hand I would berate myself if I couldn't do a pose 'properly'...whatever that even means. It's because of this I put off teacher training for the longest time, but within the first couple of hours of the course I knew I was exactly where I needed to be at exactly the right time.
The way the course made what felt like complex philosophy so relevant to everyday life so it was easy to relate with was amazing. It totally transformed how I view yoga and how I now teach it. And speaking of teaching: the sheer amount of practical teaching experience you get (literally from day two!) is awesome. Terrifying at first, yes, but when you reach the end you've already taught countless classes, so the confidence is there to go out and teach in the real world straight away - which many of my coursemates and I have done.
If you're thinking about doing this course honestly just go for it. I can't recommend enough and just wish I could do it for the first time all over again.

learn to teach yoga, by actually teaching yoga
From early in the training (as early as Day 2!), you'll have opportunities to put what you're learning into practice. This is nerve-wracking, no doubt about it, but it works. You’ll teach one pose to your fellow trainees, slowly building up to 3 poses, then 5, then a 15 minute sequence… all the way up to your 60-minute Vinyasa Flow class incorporating Yoga Nidra and a 20-minute Chair Yoga class, and beyond!
You'll practise cueing, sequencing, observation, Vinyasa Flow, Yoga Nidra and Chair Yoga, gradually bringing those skills together into complete classes.
You can expect to graduate fully ready to teach yoga. In fact, by graduation, you’ll be able to:
confidently plan and teach a complete Vinyasa Flow class
teach Chair Yoga using seated and standing practices
write and deliver your own Yoga Nidra
teach meditation and pranayama
sequence intelligently rather than relying on memorised classes
adapt practices for different bodies and abilities
use anatomy to inform your teaching decisions
introduce yoga philosophy meaningfully
work with beginners and mixed-ability groups
understand your professional responsibilities as a yoga teacher
begin building paid teaching work
THE BUSINESS OF BEING A YOGA TEACHER
And then we'll help you get out there and teach yoga
You might join our yoga teacher training to deepen your knowledge and practice of yoga.
But, if you want to teach yoga, qualifying as a yoga teacher is only useful if you know what to do afterwards.
On this training, you'll learn about insurance, professional responsibilities and scope of practice; self-employment; invoicing; pricing and financial planning; finding teaching opportunities; writing your yoga teacher bio; websites, social media and email marketing.

“Holly is such a warm and approachable teacher and has a real skill at creating a welcoming and inclusive environment to learn in.
The balance of discussion of yoga philosophy, with helpful and relatable examples, followed by time to absorb learnings in yoga nidra was perfect.”

“I cannot imagine that there is a better Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training course in the country. When I started the course, I felt like someone who does yoga. Now, after the course, I feel like someone who teaches yoga.
The teaching team have been so good. They are full of knowledge and there wasn't a single time that I did not trust what they were teaching me.
There were so many things that I loved about the course: the breakdown of the days learning into easy to digest chunks, the opportunity to teach and build classes right from the beginning, which helped to build confidence and self-belief, the in-depth discussions we had during the philosophy sections of the training, the good humour and laughs that we shared, and most of all, the fantastic set of people I shared it with.”

meet your teacher
Hi, I’m Holly!
I’ve been teaching on yoga teacher trainings since 2018, and in that time, I have learnt, experienced and studied how someone not only takes in the information required to teach a safe and beneficial yoga class, but also what it takes to give someone the self-belief that they can do it.
Spoiler alert: The self belief that you can teach yoga, comes from teaching yoga. That’s why, on our training, you teach from Day 2! Yes, really. It’s flipping nerve-wracking, but by the end of the training, you’ll thank me.
I’m more than happy to be a cheerleader, standing on the side lines shouting ‘you can do this!’, but you're knowing that you can comes from the doing.
Aside from that, I absolutely love to share evidence-based research as to why yoga is powerful helping us with so many things, including managing stress and anxiety, overcoming pain including chronic pain, improving the connection with our bodies and so, so much more.
In short, teaching yoga teacher trainings is a joy, I absolutely love every moment, I love to see the bonds forming between the group, I love seeing people break down barriers of ‘I can’t…’ that have been built up over their lives. I love it all, and I hope you will, too!

“Going through the Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Hero in 2020 honestly exceeded my expectations, and gave me all the tools to be where I am now - teaching multiple yoga classes every week in my local area and thriving with busy yoga classes and a wonderful community of regular clients.
There was focus on actually teaching, not just learning material, so I left feeling equipped to teach.
I will go as far as saying the teacher training was one of the best experiences of my life.
I’m so glad I made the decision to complete my yoga teacher training with Holly, and now my life as a yoga teacher is beyond what I could have imagined, in the best way!”
