Create an evening ritual that supports your rest and sleep
Deep restorative sleep isn’t simply about getting more hours - it’s about supporting your internal systems so your body can rest. Yoga promotes deep rest by:
lowering evening cortisol (the ‘stress hormone’
activating the relaxation response
quietening the alarm centres of the brain
increasing heart rate variability (HRV) - a marker of whole-person health
improving body awareness so you can recognise early signs of stress, and take action

We will start the workshop with an evidence-based breathing technique to soothe and calm the nervous system, before taking a look at how stress affects our ability to rest and sleep.
With that information in mind, you’ll be guided to build your effective (yet very practical and realistic) evening ritual, then we’ll move through some calming movements before getting super comfy and settling in to deep rest, which you can do in your bed if you’d like!
This workshop is designed to lead straight into sleep if you’d like - feel free to attend with teeth brushed, make up off and PJs on (no need to have your camera on! 👀)
