200 hour Teacher Training Policy Documentation

Practice Experience

The accrediting body for the course, the Yoga Pros stipulates that attendees on the course must have been practising yoga for at least two years.

Booking and payment

A deposit is required to reserve your place. Your booking is for the complete training and you are committing to the full course fee.

The remaining fee must be paid according to the schedule agreed when you book.

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

What fees include

Fees include the full course, your manual, assessments and accreditation. Anything else is not included.

During the course

Students must attend the entire course to graduate. If special circumstances arise and the student needs to miss less than 1.5 days, the student could make the time missed up with an extra assignment that would be emailed to them and they could email back to the lead teacher for review and feedback.

If the student needs to miss a 1.5 days or more (up to five days) then the student will have to complete assignments for each topic that they missed. All received and submitted electronically.

If the student needs to miss six days or more they will have to sign up for the course again at a reduced fee, to be determined, based on the amount of time missed, any administration fees to be paid for and any other associated costs.

Any course content or assessment criteria not completed during the course must be completed within three months of the course end date. There is no cost for this.

cancellation by a trainee

If you need to cancel, please email hello@theyogasolution.co.uk as soon as possible. Your cancellation takes effect when we receive your email.

After any statutory cancellation period has ended, you are responsible for the losses and reasonable non-refundable costs caused by your cancellation. Because a limited place has been reserved for you, this could amount to a significant proportion of the course fee - and, where we cannot refill the place or otherwise reduce our loss, potentially the full outstanding balance.

We will take reasonable steps to refill your place and reduce our loss. We will account for any replacement booking and any costs we save because you are no longer attending. We will not retain or seek more than the loss and reasonable costs we have genuinely incurred, and we will explain the calculation on request.

Simply stopping attendance or cancelling an instalment payment does not cancel your booking.

You may ask to transfer to a later equivalent cohort. All requests are subject to availability, entry requirements, accreditation requirements and our approval. Reasonable administration, increased course fees and non-refundable costs arising from the change may apply. A transfer or replacement is not confirmed until agreed in writing.

Withdrawal after training begins

If you withdraw after training has begun, you will be responsible for the training and resources already provided, reasonable non-refundable costs genuinely incurred, and any further loss we cannot reasonably avoid. Withdrawal without completing the course requirements means you will not receive the relevant teaching certificate.

Illness, bereavement and other serious exceptional circumstances will be considered individually. Depending upon the circumstances and accreditation requirements, we may offer make-up work, deferral, transfer or a fair withdrawal arrangement.

cancellation or material changes of the training

If we cancel the full training before it begins, you may choose a transfer to a suitable later cohort or a full refund of the course fees paid to The Yoga Solution.

If we postpone the training or materially change its dates, location or delivery format, you will be offered appropriate options, which may include accepting the change, transferring to another cohort or receiving a refund for training we cannot deliver. If we cannot deliver part of the course and cannot provide a reasonable equivalent, we will refund the undelivered portion.

A minimum of six trainees is normally required. If this number is not reached, we may postpone or cancel the course and the options above will apply.

We are not responsible for independently booked travel, accommodation or other third-party expenses.

Contact Information

With your separate consent, we may share your name, email address and telephone number with Yoga Pros so that they can contact you about registering as a trainee or teacher. You may choose not to consent, or withdraw your consent, without affecting your place on the training, unless registration is required for certification and this has been clearly explained before booking.

Contingency Planning

If exceptional circumstances prevent training from taking place as advertised, we may reschedule affected sessions or propose a reasonable alternative venue, tutor or delivery method. We will provide as much notice as reasonably possible. Where the proposed arrangement amounts to a material change, the options set out under postponement and material changes will apply.
